Baptist blog on its way...meawhile I'm missing my "Jonathan"....

Hey all.

The John the Baptist blog is coming, still going over some scripture...

But I have some other things I want to get off my chest...

I'm a happy guy in general. Most people know me as a talkative, smiley dude, who loves to give hugs. And that's true.

But I'm also a lonely guy. A very lonely guy.

Loneliness is something I have been struggling with for the past year. There often comes these bouts of solitude which leave me feeling utterly alone. And it's so tangible. It threatens to crush me.

I'm so thankful to have a God who never leaves me. I don't know what I would do without Him. Thank you, Lord.

I believe that God places a certain person in your life. I call them a "Jonathan". A Jonathan is a friend like no other friend, a friend who loves you as much as you love them. A friend who, without hesitation, will utter your name when asked who their closest friend is. A Jonathan is not your spouse, and would be the same gender. Of course I get this name from Jonathan and David from the Old Testement (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_and_Jonathan if you want to look into it more)

You see a few examples of it here and there. Like Turk and JD from Scrubs.

I haven't found my Jonathan yet.

I'm not sure when a relationship such as this will enter my life, but I wait. I know that God will send the right person at the right time.

This is not me trying to garner sympathy or attention. It just helps to write about it. And it's not me accusing my friends of poor friendship, because I love my friends, more than they know I think...

But for those that are still reading, thanks, I appreciate it. I really do.

Peace.

keep posted....

Hey all.

I haven't blogged it a bit, been busy.

But I have been mulling a massive one in my mind, and will write it after a bit of research.

Going to take a deeper look at John the Baptist.

So stay tuned, and it should be up real soon!

Peace.

taking care of business...

Today was a productive one.

I have taken a leaf out of my very good friend Daniel Lotreit (or Lotty) and I am "takin' care of business" (check out his blog at http://takincareofbusinessbaby.blogspot.com/ he takes care of so much business it will make your eyes pop out and beat you as you don't take care of business like Lotty does)

Well anyway, this is what I took care of;

I cleaned the toilet.
I cleaned the shower.
I cleaned parts of the bathroom (mainly the basin/counter).
I washed at least three loads of dishes.
I did some groceries.
I went to the gym (did cardio AND weights).
I called a mechanic to get an automotive issue sorted.
I cooked dinner. However, I cooked a big batch (of butter chicken) so what I didn't eat has been portioned in containers and refridgerated for consumption another day)
I went to church band practice.
I practiced guitar and learned some new songs.
I wrote a blog (this one).

Amazing, I know. But what is even more amazing is that I got up at 11am. ELEVEN AM. I even got a sleep in.

I hope I have served as an inspiration to you to take care of more business in your day to day lives.

Peace.

recipies...

Here's something interesting I found...

Lobster Mashed Potato Recipie

Ingredients

* lobster chunks (chopped up lobster)
* mashed potatoes mix
* paprika
* s & p
* butter

Directions

1. First, cook the box of mashed potatoes following the instructions on the box. Use milk instead of water if suggested.
2. Once the potatoes are smooth and ready, dump a load of lobster chunks into the potatoes. The more lobster the better. Get as much as you can afford.
3. Season with salt and pepper and a bit of paprika.
4. Mix in melted butter to taste and to add to the smoothness.

been a while.....

Hey.

Pretty sure I'm the laziest blogger. Haven't blogged in months.

Anyways, I tried to make for the first time spag bol from scratch. It took like 1 hour to make the sauce, had to simmer for ages.

....already starting to get bored.

What the heck do I blog about? Like I've always found these things a little self indulgent. Why would I think that people would actually want to hear me rave on about my life? How boring, man!

I'd rather share a coffee (or tea, I don't drink coffee) or a phonecall with a dear friend, then to read about them on their blog.

But hey, that's just me.

Peace.
